A look back at 2012
When I sit down to reflect on the year of 2012 for New Hope, I am in profound awe of God’s provision and love for His children. I am amazed by the way He has kept his promises to us and touched by the outpouring of love through the body of Christ. To all of you who were used by Him to encourage, provide finances, support, share, build, send and cover us in prayer….From the depths of our heart, Nueva Esperanza-New Hope Girls, Inc. Would like to say THANK YOU!

We started 2012 with our second intern Katie Nehm who came to teach English, but ended up serving as teacher, house mom and mentor to the girls in the safe house and school. She served with us for five months and was able to build deep relationships with team members and will be forever missed.

THANK YOU to those of you who came and also those who come Every week! We had several small groups, teams and visitors come to share in our vision and work alongside us as we expanded and improved our facilities, shared with the girls and even planted a garden. We began Montessori classes taught via a Dominican mentor, Marta Vicente and also now provide Discipleship training, Art, Awanas and English classes taught by weekly volunteers to our 25 girls.

We watched the women’s workshop grow to bear much fruit-- With the sale of over one thousand sandals and hundreds of bags, the workshop is now supporting seven moms (who among them are responsible for feeding over 20 children) with a great wage. To those of you who supported them with your purchases or organized a sale or event—THANK YOU!
